Volta sempre! — Two Activity Books Built for the Beach Bag

A pencil, a beach towel, and a book that asks to be scribbled in. Planeta Tangerina’s new Volta sempre! collection launches with two activity books designed to ride in a tote bag all summer—returned to, creased and sun-warmed, a little more complete each trip.

The first volume, Há muitas formas de pintar um desenho (“There Are Many Ways to Paint a Drawing”), by Madalena Matoso, drops readers into a garage sale rendered in red cross-stitch patterns: tick the objects you want to hunt, then colour them any way you like. Its companion, Une os pontos (“Connect the Dots”), by Bernardo P. Carvalho, begins by connecting two dots and escalates into blue-and-white landscapes, football goals, and jungle trails.

At 24 stapled pages apiece—printed in a single colour on soft covers—they are cheap, portable, and built to escape the logic of the screen. “We wanted lightness and freewheeling books,” Matoso told Agenda Cultural de Lisboa. Adults are more than welcome.
